Overview
An International Pharma group asked us to design their Malta office and create Photo-realistic 3D renderings. The design requirements were to create a place for client meetings and a hub for their sales team.
The new trend, of having penthouses as company’s offices, gives a new perspective to the standard office space. It’s a way to enhance the brand, to attract and retain top employees.

Interior Design
A large gathering area was created by opening up the interior to the 100 sqm terrace. Due to Malta’s nice weather, it can be used all year long. The views are almost 360 degrees of the building, over the town, countryside and the sea.
Our work
First, we created the functional design by placing the working stations, conference room, and lounge area. In the 3d renderings, you can see how the penthouse is flooded with natural light, by using large windows and sliding doors. Then, we have created complete architectural plans, including furniture design, ambient lighting, and electrical socket placement. In the end, we have searched for sourcing companies for the wooden panels and furniture.
Challenges and opportunities
Using the penthouse for offices implied some technical adjustments compared to a residential apartment. The floors had to allow high-traffic and have good sound insulation. The solution was to use a thick floating floor with 44dB acoustic insulation. It was covered with Cement Tiles from Dado Ceramica that offered protection from sun over-heating for a bright, warm look.
